This is the Big Meadow on the Skyline Drive. As you can tell, I’m still working on my black and white techniques to see if I can make a nice photo. Although it looks almost like a lake, it really grass. They do controlled burns throughout this area to keep the environment grass and not let it go back to forest. The Indians did this to let blueberries to grow.
