I finished Steve Schneider’s books, “The Patient From Hell.†It was an excellent read. In his book, Steve says the patient should ask three questions of his doctor about treatment options.
1) What can happen?
2) What are the odds of it happening?
3) How do you know and how can you verify the answers to the previous two questions?
I think it goes without saying; one has to work on one’s interpersonal relations when asking these questions.
