An Exercise Program

I’ve been looking for an exercise program that didn’t need any equipment. I wanted something I could do in a hotel room as easily as at home.

As you might conclude, I believe you can find anything on the net. I think I’ve found what I am looking for. Here is the site. It’s called Getting Fit. They have programs that can take you from zero to very fit.

For now, I am walking/jogging and doing pushups and sit-ups. I want to expand on that and I think this site will help me. This morning I was able to do six pushups and 12 sit-ups. I do twice as many sit-ups as pushup. Ten days ago, I could only do two pushups.

I asked the oncologist this morning if my apparent loss of muscle mass was due the chemo or just the fact that I was sitting around doing nothing. He thought it was inactivity not the chemo that was to blame. That means I need to get to work.

I’m feeling rather wiped tonight and will go to bed early. I don’t have any pain, I’m just tired and my stomach is a little uneasy.

I have a routine that I do when not jogging that day and when on travel if I can't jog. I like it. Four sets: situps, twisting at waste, neck twists, leg sqwats, arm circles and end with pushups. Takes about 25 minutes, feels as good as a run.

Sounds like a good idea.
