I’m still looking for some way to work out. I see several infomercials on TV. One I happened to watch was for the Total Fitness Gym. It has Chuck Norris and Christy Brinkley as spokespeople for the gym. Watching Christy Brinkley workout on it is always entertaining.
In surfing the net I came across this substitute that claims to be better. I don’t know. I’m still looking, along with looking for my next digital camera.
Posted by The Vorlon at February 25, 2006 11:48 AMI think this is the same equipment that Kathy was looking at a few weeks ago. I do not think it is as versital as the bow flex. I am always skeptical about anything sold by infomercials. In fact, I was skeptical about Bowflex when it first came out. But, it seems to have stood the test of time.
Ronco made a fortune selling people gadgets that they really didn't needed. From what I saw of this product, a set of free weights would accomplish more. FWIW
Posted by: Ned Swift at February 25, 2006 7:27 PMI too think the BowFlex would be better, but between the cost of a BowFlex Extreme and shipping, you'll be out about $1,500. This little puppy will only set you back a little over $400.
I'm a little reluctant to spend that much for a BowFlex Extreme unless I was dead certain I would use it a lot.

Needless to say, I wasn't as sure about "The Total Gym" after reading up on it.

Posted by: Reb Orrell at February 27, 2006 1:31 PMThere appear to be several manufacuturers tha make a "Total Gym."
