I guess I did OK today. I stayed home as almost any movement really tired me out.
I had my last Neupogen shot this morning. Tomorrow I go in for my abbreviated chemo treatment – if my white cell count is high enough. It should last about 90 minutes.
Wednesday, I get my Neulasta shot and then I’m free for about two weeks – Yeah! They’re letting me out of jail, but it’s difficult to walk away.
On an unrelated note, I watched a program about Richard Branson of Virgin Records and Virgin Airlines fame. He dropped out of high school and is now worth billions of dollars. Programs like this torture me. I think to myself, “Why am I so stupid that I can’t put together even a 1,000th of this man’s success?”

You were not at the right place at the right time to make millions. I believe it is fate that gets you there. I hope the Chemo is not to hard on you. Take care and try to stay out of trouble.
God be with you!

My guess would be that Richard Branson has never had to work as hard as you've been asked to do during you cancer journey. There are many ways to be successful, and money isn't always the best way. When you get better, you will be the most successful person I have ever had the pleasure of sharing with (blog syle).
Just keep taking the steps you've been taking and soon you'll be out of jail forever!! This is my fervent prayer for you. May God Bless and care for you always.
However, I have to admit, it would be fun to be a millionaire too. Oops, there goes that little "Greedy Bug" sneaking into my psyche again. "Out out, you nasty little bug." Ruth
Posted by: Ruth Berlien at August 29, 2006 1:19 PMInteresting article on happiness in New York Magazine last month. It turns out that the people on the Forbes 400 list of richest Americans (we're talking billionaires here) are only SLIGHTLY happier than the general population. I'm all for making heaps of money, but it does not add as much richness to life as love, health, good family and having a vocation you're passionate about. Aside from the health part, which are you working on, it seems you are already rich indeed.
Posted by: Karen Abbate at August 29, 2006 3:49 PMWhile I agree that making money should not be ones only goal, with a good chunk of cash, there are heaps of good one could do with it. One doesn't have to keep it all.
I'm for making donation anonymously. One could support a local soup kitchen. Find needy people and help them. And there are many worthy organizations.
For those people worth billions, I would challenge them to give enough away that they down to their last $10 million.
But at the moment I'm woking making enough to keep going and concentrating on the health issues. However, the business part helps me from going crazy on the health part.

Just don't give any money to 'MoveOn.org.'
