Vorlon Dog Update

We took a chance last night and didn’t take Danny out throughout the night. Fortunately, there were no accidents.

He is turning out to not be a morning dog. Once he’s done his business, he’s ready for another 40 winks.

We’re not quite sure about how to transport him to the office. I think we’ll stick him in his crate and then put it in the car. It easily fits in the back seat. If we try to pick him up, he yelps.

Once at the office there are no stairs to negotiate and he should be fine.

What do you mean 'taking him out throughout the night?'

My dog is twelve years old. We take him out anywhere from 9 to 10 pm and he's good to go (or rather not go) until the next morning at 8 am. Never have we needed to do a middle of the night run. Albeit important to get him out first thing in the morning, his bladder should be well equiped to handle the duration of the night.

Once my dog is out and then fed in the morning, I best better not get in his way as he heads for a day of napping. That's just the way it is. Today especially, rainy and darker than usual, I think he thinks it is night, but then what's the excuse on sunny days!

This morning the cat had cabin fever and wouldn't settle down. We were out at 7 am (the dog and I - cat still toasty and dry inside) both huddling under an umbrella. Right now the dog is in a very sound sleep almost dry from our earlier romp.

The only time we've had accidents they are the result of a stomach/intestinal upset...ate some strange junk in the woods or whatever. That usually is short-lived and you know the reason why it is happening...like you mentioning giving Danny different food which he barfed up. Other than that, I think they are pretty well managed by two maybe three trips out per day.

Take care...
