Today, the building manager of the office we worked at dropped off some computers and parts for my nephew. I have several items for him. She also brought the telephones that I can take back to the company who sold them to us and they will pay me for them.
After she left, Naomi and I took Danny Boy for a ride to Parvin State Park and took a look walk along the trail. He trotted along at a fast pace barking at joggers, bicyclists, and people walking their dogs. He loved it. When we got home, he ate his dinner and went to bed. He had a nice nap then came down and cuddled with me for a while before going out for the last time to do his business.
Well, we want to get up early tomorrow to go to the cemetery. It is Ted’s birthday and I have some spring floral arrangements to put on the graves.
Naomi’s husband Jim will be coming in the afternoon with his truck. We will take some bookshelves to the storage unit. I have three shelves but they do not match. I have some other bookshelves still at the office (that do match) that I want to bring home and the others go to the storage unit. When I get them exchanged, I’ll be able to place the stuff that’s on the floor on the shelves.
Naomi will be going home and Dottie will be coming.
I am grateful to have so many wonderful friends who have taken their time to come and help me through this difficult time that I going through.

Dear Karol
Please tell Ted Happy Birthday. When you visit his grave site from his father and I.
Posted by: Mother & Dad at March 3, 2007 7:50 AMHi Karol,
You've probably read the poem called "The Dash". The "Dash" represents the life you live between the date of your birth and the date of your death. For Ted Armstrong, the "Dash" was filled with a great deal of wonderful gifts to so many people while here on Earth. His life was so significant, the loyalty to his family and friends, and most of all to you Karol. That was always so obvious in all of his writings. His great sense of humor, his intelligence, which he used to accomplish a gazillion projects. The "Dash" in his life was used to the fullest. How we all wish he could have lived many more years, but always remember, he honored the gifts the Lord provided him in the finest ways each day. I have Muscular Dystrophy, and there were times when his words were just what I needed for that day. He infused many of us with his courage, his ability to persevere under dire conditions, his love of nature, and his love of your flowers and your wonderful trips to the seashore. It seemed that he just loved his life so much, and made all of us remember to love our lives that much too. A fine man indeed.
We will always miss him and we will always honor him. Karol, I'm sure this is a difficult day for you. You are such a fine woman, so courageous and strong, but, on days such as today, don't forget to be very gentle with yourself. Again, I'm so thankful for all your extremely loyal friends that are there to help you. May God grant you peace and comfort today. Most sincerely, Ruth
