Just go t home from my nephew's in Delaware. We had a belated Mother's Day Dinner for my sister-in-law , Sylvia and my nephew's wife, Michelle. Half of the family was away last week as Sylvia's neice got married in Florida.

I fixed the fish tank filter this morning. Some part needed to be cleaned that I didn't know existed. I got out the manual and discovered it. I went to the Vets to get Danny's Heartworm medication and went to the Acme to buy some food. I trimmed the hedge and took Danny for a walk. I saw my neighbor teh church choir director out watering his flowers and stopped to talk. He invited me in to see his wife Ellen who is recovering from surgery. Danny used to bark at them but was friendly today. We sat on the back porch and had some lemonade. Ray gave Danny some roast beef. He'll be his best friend for life.

We came home and both Danny and I got a bath. I packed up some things for Danny and myself and went to Rick's.
After arriving, they decided to go to a nice little Italian Restaurant. I let Danny out in their yard where he could run free as it is fenced in. There is a great big dog next door and he is friendly but Danny barked and barked at him. They chased each other up and down the fence. When we went to the restaurant, we left Danny downstairs and Sassy upstairs as they fight somtimes. They don't really fight but grow lat each other. Danny is very good he doesn't get into anything and he rarely has accidents in the house. He was friendly to everyone and likes to jump up in their laps and get petted. I did Danny's ears while I was there. It was getting late and I didn't know whether to stay the night or drive home. Since I sing in the choir, I decided to drive home. I made a couple wrong turns in the dark but was able to get back on track. Danny had to make a pit stop so I pulled into a convenience store parking lot to let him out.

Time to hit the hay Danny's already in bed.

Hi Karol,

And you wonder why you're so tired sometimes??? You are a person who accomplishes so much each day. It was nice that you went in to visit your neighbor who has had surgery recently. I'm sure she enjoyed a little change of scenery, and it was pleasant for you and Danny too.

Danny sounds like he's becoming secure in his new life. It seems when he first came to you and Ted that he hadn't ever truly been cared for. He acted much like a rebellious child who seems angry, but they're really reaching out for some attention. He finally has a wonderful life and is beginning to feel less threatened by other dogs and people also. He had been in survival mode for perhaps most of his little life. I'm so very thankful he has you Karol and you provide so beautifully for him. You make good pals for each other. He has oftentimes been the reason you got out and walked when you may not have on your own. And, that's a good thing.

I forgot to mention how brilliant and beautiful your red and yellow tulips brightened my day. Your camera takes the most vivid pictures and it's so great that you learned how to post them. Don't you just know that Ted is so proud of you and is cheering you on each day. I honestly believe he does Karol. You and Ted were so close and I just feel like you two are still connecting on some level Not what either of you would have chosen - that's for sure. But, without a doubt you are being watched over.

I'm so thankful you got home okay last evening. I did begin to fret a little when I checked the blog rather late and there was nothing written yet. Driving at night is really not much fun. We try to figure ways that we don't have to do that much anymore. Everything looks so different at night. And, if the weather is bad -then, it's really no fun. We're watching over you too Karol.

I bet your choir sounds so beautiful. It's a very heart-warming gift to listen to choirs. We try to watch the Gaither's any chance we get. They were performing in a city not too far from us and we planned to go. The trip was being handled through a travel agency. I asked the person at the agency if she knew if the auditorium was set up for handicapped. She strongly suggested I not try this particular venue. We're so glad she was honest about that. It would have made it a tough evening to enjoy if I had to struggle. That's so tiring for me anymore, even with the constant help of my husband (whom I'm so very grateful for).

Hoping your day is restful and you can get re-generated for the week. you're quite the woman indeed. Ruth

I had to chuckle. For some of us that is all it takes - a taste of roast beef and friends for life! O how simple that would be....

How unique that Ted would pick a book about interviewing. He had many interests.
