I slept through until 6:30. I think it was because of the increase in the dosage of my medicine. I took Danny out but it was pouring down rain and he ran back into the house. I dragged him out to the tree so he could piddle. I got ready and went to have my blood work done. There was a long line and they were short handed. Afterward, I went to WaWa and got a breakfast sandwich and coffee.
I took another order and processed it today but the price had changed and Ginny had to fix it. I called the doctor about my medicine. He said to just take one pill at night instead of one in the morning and another at night.
I tried getting stamps at the post office at lunchtime but the line was too long and one of the clerks left the window to use the rest room. I left and will try again tomorrow if I get my car back in time.
My gear shift lever sticks and I can’t get it in gear. It is intermittent but I don’t won’t to get stuck somewhere. I’ll take Danny to the Doggie Day Care and my car to the Honda dealer. They will give me a ride to work. I’ll have to take my lunch. I don’t know when Honda will pick me up.
I planted the flowers on the West side tonight. I still have to plant some glads and my planters.
Danny is pestering me to go out but I want to wait until 9:00 if he’ll let me. He heard someone outside and is now barking. Now he wants to go out and bark at the people and is even more anxious to go out.
News from the Vorlon Wife.
Hi Karol.
You sure had a busy busy weekend, as usual.
I'm so happy you were able to attend the concert that you and Ted used to attend together. I know the loss is immense when you do something for the first time without him. It was nice that you were able to visit with your friends, Doreen and Carl. They sound like a lot of fun. How I wish that I was one of those people who could plan great parties. Some people are just naturally adept at that skill. I've done entertaining, of course, through the years, but, I always end up worrying too much about this and that. It's quite an art to do it so effortlessly I think. and, even if everything isn't perfect, who really cares? That was my silly worry - I always thought everything had to be so perfect.
I'm glad you're getting your car fixed. You sure don't want to get stuck in traffic somewhere and not be able to move. Folks aren't usually too patient with stuff like that anymore. Life is mostly moving in the "fast lane". I know there are still many fine people that would offer help if you had a problem, but, there are some very unpleasant people out there today too I think.
Danny Boy will love visiting at the Doggy Day Care. Gives him a chance to show off his stuff a little. He's too adorable not to have a bigger audience every now and then. He's actually pretty funny. I love hearing about some of his antics.
Hope your week is good Karol. I know God watches over you pretty well. He's real good at that. I should know. He follows me around and keeps me on the straight and narrow all the time. Thank goodness. Ruth
Posted by: Ruth at June 4, 2007 10:38 PMKarol, as I get older I dislike standing in line even more. Although, a pastor once said this is a good way that God teaches us patience. As far as stamps, over this way one post office is only open 10-2 so a busy line at lunchtime. The other one closes noon to 1:30. I order stamps online through usps. I buy 100 at a time and the cost is only one dollar more than the cost of the stamps. They come within a few days. Gotta love internet shopping. Less aggravation.
