There wasn’t much to do at work today. I got my deposits ready for the bank and took them after work. I was going to trim the hedge but I was feeling down. I wanted to sit on the sofa with my Danny Boy on my lap. I got him his dog food and made a salad for myself. I used the spinach and arugala with some tuna salad and some corn. We had ice cream for dessert.
I walked him before dinner and played tug of war with him afterward. He isn’t sitting very still tonight. He wants to play. I’ll be walking him again before going to bed.
Tomorrow will not be good for cutting grass or trimming the hedge. A heat advisory is in effect from 12:00 noon until 8:00pm. I’ll have to do it Sat. and Sun.
News from the Vorlon wife.
Hello my friend,
Sorry you were feeling a lttle down today. I'm sure those times cause your heart to feel great pain. That is why when you keep going and going and going, I am so proud of you. Because it isn't easy. Each day you must face some type of challenege that you used to be able to face with Ted. Just think of the adjustments you've had to make. Unbelievable. I firmly believe though, that your best friend and dear husband watch over you as well as our loving and faithful Lord. Thank goodness Danny Boy is such an affectionate puppy. Now, if you had a cat, they can sometimes choose to be a little cool, depending on their mood. (Disclaimer for all the cat lovers out there). This is merely my humble opinion. There is never any doubt where Danny Boy's loyalties are and I firmly believe Ted interviewed Danny pretty well before committing to adopting him. He needed to be sure he would be the greatest comfort to you during these difficult days. Bless him for his great love for you Karol.
Be sure to take heed about working outside with the temps and humidity being so high tomorrow. We can always be assured those chores will be there waiting for us.
I'm always on your side and wishing each day is a better day. Ruth
Posted by: Ruth at June 7, 2007 8:56 PMOh, I nearly forgot to comment on your gorgeous backyard photo. It's so lovely and peaceful looking. Really a lot of work I'm sure, but, you certainly know how to make it look gorgeous. Thanks for sharing such beauty with me. Have you ever had your yard open to the public during a garden show? People in this area do that. It gives others good ideas on what to do with their gardens and yards. Actually, it's probably a tremendous amount of work to prepare for something like that. Now that I think about it, just keep displaying for us, we'll always enjoy it.

Dad and I find it Very interesting when you mentioned WE had some ice cream.
Posted by: Mother & Dad at June 7, 2007 9:33 PMDear Karol, I am so glad that you have Danny Boy. It is so hard to live without hugs and kisses. Especially when you have been so close to someone and need comfort the most. You are really doing so much better than I would be at this point after such a loss. Remember it's OK to take a day off from pushing yourself to do the normal things that no longer are really nomal because you are doing them alone. You really are a very strong person with a lot of people who care a great deal for you and about you. We are all here if you need us. Call or e-mail a time and chat room and I'll learn how to get there so you won't be alone. Dinner is always the worst time when a love one is away. You are so used to talking over the day, getting reasurance and perspective. Keep the faith that each day you will have more good thoughts and memories with less heartache and pain. It's ok to have a pity party once in awhile we all have bad days. As always I send prayers and affection. Cheryl
