Gerber Daisies growing on the dunes in Avalon, NJ
Posted by tedkarol at July 6, 2007 9:21 AMHi Karol,
After you explained that your cousin (who is your age) had died, it made everything a little more clear why you were feeling so down. Your grief is still so close to the surface that all it takes is another death, and especially someone you loved so much to just fracture your tender heart. I'm so sorry for your Aunt Louise and Bert's wife too. You surely do understand their loss and grief very well. And, even though you probably can't help Bert's wife right now, she will relate to you and know that she could call you anytime to talk and you perhaps could help her through a particularly rough day. I know it will be rough for you to attend Bert's funeral. Certainly, you want to be there, but, it certainly stirs your emotions greatly. Your Aunt and his wife will so appreciate you being there for them. You're strong Karol and this is just one more test for you that you will come through. I'll be thinking of you very much.
The Gerbera daisies at Avalon are so pretty. How many of us would have walked right by them and perhaps not noticed their beauty? Fortunately, the world has you to see the small and beautiful gifts and the bonus is you share your gift of beauty with us.
It really will be a good thing when you are able to move closer to your family. You need them and they need you. It will all happen in good time my dear.
You will be in my thoughts and prayers as always. In friendship and caring, Ruth
