Ted and I picked out this flower last year. We have two of them in the front flowerbed.

Sounds like you have a good real estate agent there. It is good that her husband can fix the ceiling in the stairway for you. That is a big job!
Your flower looks like a phlox to me from the photo. Mine are blooning now also. I love the color of yours.
