I met Cheryl and Owen at the Atlantic County Historical Museum where they were doing family research. I found a book on the Rambo Family but I had more information on my line than was in the book. There were lots of books on various colonial families. It would take a long time to go through them. We had an early dinner at Gregory’s and then headed for a cemetery in Egg Harbor City to look for Cheryl’s ancestors. I found them in a rectangular plot. It was an interesting cemetery. Some of the rectangular plots were covered in broken green glass. I thought someone had placed it there but it seems kids come and break their beer bottles and have been doing that for years. The broken glass has piled up and looks rather pretty.
When we got home, Cheryl and I took Danny Boy for a walk. We then headed out to the custard stand for some ice cream. I got my favorite Strawberry Artic Swirl. I took Danny with us and asked for an extra cup for him. He enjoyed his share. We saw Pastor Bennett at the custard stand along with Joan and Barbara from the choir. I had forgotten about choir practice starting last night. I wouldn’t have gotten home in time and I had my company.
We had some fruit and bagels for a late breakfast before Cheryl and Owen got on there way. I was good to have them. It was a release from the endless loneliness.
I didn’t do anything after they left except for walking Danny. One of my neighbors moved today so I went over to wish her well. I hope we have good neighbors moving in.
I sent out another resume. It was for an accounting job in Philadelphia. I haven’t heard from any of the companies I sent my resume to. I guess when the right job comes along, everything will fall into place.
