I wasn’t able to access the internet last night. I couldn’t get a signal. Here is my entry from last night.
I’m in Avalon tonight. My brother’s friend, John, rents a house in June and September. Don invited me but wasn’t sure if I could stay overnight. It turns out not many showed up. It was supposed to be a football weekend for the guys. The house is located on a canal like most houses in Avalon. There are two decks out back; one off the living room and the other is a rooftop deck over the living room. Danny went to Erica’s. I miss my little guy. He looked so broken hearted when I left him. He scratched at the gate.
John’s brother-in law, Bill, brought his boat. Don and I helped him tied it up at the dock. There are 3 other boats moored out there. I think the owner rents the slip because a family came walking up the walkway and out on the dock and onto their boat.
It rained most of the afternoon. It was really strange. It was not raining on the main land. When I drove over the bridge onto the island, the streets were all wet and looked flooded with steam rising from them. It doesn’t take much to flood the streets in South Jersey, it is very flat and there is nowhere for the water to run.
I hope it is nice and sunny tomorrow.
