My ice blue iris. I just got back from lunch with my church friends. Our church is being renovated so we had our service in the Sunday School Building. Yesterday, we had a good rain storm. I had about 2 inches in the rain guage. I shouldn't had wasted the time and water sprinkling the lawn on Friday. The ground is saturated. I didn't get the grass cut yesterday. I did my errands in the morning and the storm came after I had my lunch. I'll have to cut it today and it is a lot warmer than yesterday. The hedge is already in need of trimming and I cut it on Thursday. I planted flowers in my planters this morning so now I just had to weed for the rest of the summer.

The pictures of your Iris are just gorgeous. You sure have a nice variety.
When my oldest granddaughter was planning her wedding, she asked me to be her matron of honor. I could hardly believe such an honor would ever come to me. She has always loved Iris, so that is what she carried and I did also. What a thrilling and beautiful wedding it was. It is surely a memory I will always cherish. She and her husband now have two children, which made me and my husband great-grandparents. That hardly seems possible. But, it's true.
Anyway, your beautiful Iris made me think of a beautiful day in my life. Thanks for sharing photos of your beautiful yard. It truly is spectacular Karol and I know you enjoy it so much too. However, a yard that looks like yours requires a lot of hard work. And, your hedge really keeps you busy too. I always so enjoy your photos Karol. Not only are you a horticulturist, you're a great photographer too. Nice combination for those of us who enjoy your blog so much. Ruth
