My pink astilbe.
I worked on fixing the bench on the porch. The porch has two built in benches. Ted and I redid one of the benches as it had water damage from the sprinkler. That was years ago and now the bench has more water damage. I patched the foot of the bench with wood patch. I added several layers over the past couple weeks. I sanded it and primed it today. I primed some of the other pieces I need. I worked outside under the shade of the red maple tree. When I was done, I carried the paint into the house and placed it near the cellar door. The clothes were done in the dryer so I took them out and put them in a chair in the living room. Some how, paint got on one of my shirts. I quickly washed it off and went out to bring in the rest of my things. I noticed paint splattered in a trail from the yard. I thought that’s weird. I know I put the lid on tight. It must have been running down the side when I dipped the brush into the can. I went back in the house to check the can and it was leaking all over the floor. I took it outside and turned it upside down. There was a hole in the bottom. I have no idea how it got there. I wiped up the paint with a paper towel and then washed the floor up. It was a vinyl floor and water based paint so I was able to wash it up easily.
I went out, did some weeding in the back yard near the garage, and then trimmed the rose bushed and spent lilies in the front.
That's about all I did today besides walking Danny.
I finished my medicine this morning and tonight, I was able to enjoy a cup of tea. The medicine made the tea taste terrible. I threw out a whole gallon of iced tea. I thought it was bad. I opened a new package of tea and it tasted terrible too. I realized it was the medicine. Coffee and coke were all I could drink. I drank iced coffee instead of iced tea. Anyway, I'd glad my taste buds returned to normal. It gave me an inkling of how Ted must have felt when his food tasted terrible.
I watched a couple movies on USA. Comcast has taken AMC and TMC away when they changed the channels. I guess they are forcing us to go digital. I would but I'm going to be moving so I'll wait until I move. Where my brothers live, they have a choice of cable companies, Comcast or RCN. My brothers have gone with RCN. They feel RCN is a better deal.

I'm so glad your paint was water-based. You would have had a disaster if it hadn't been. A lucky break indeed.
We had quite a rainstorm for just a short while today, but, the temps dropped and it feels heavenly now. I just can't function when the temps are so high. And, with all the yard work you do, the heat would make it tough. You do a remarkable job with your drop-dead gorgeous lawn and flowers, etc. It's something that you truly enjoy doing and thank goodness you do. You should think about working a small part-time job for one of your local nurseries. Maybe it would just be in the spring and fall. Not as demanding as full-time work, but, something that would take much less of your time and earning you a bit of income. And, it is definitely your forte'. Ruth
