I took the wreaths off the windows and doors this morning. I put my Christmas Village in their boxes along with the model train. I still have the tree to do. I will put the Christmas decorations in the storage bin and clean out the storage closet in the basement.
I went to do my walking at the school. I did 16 laps, which equals 2.52 miles. I went at a fast pace until my ankle started to bother me so I slowed down. I had been passing every body and when I slowed down, the caught up and passed me.
My friends were not there. I walked by myself.
It’s going to be cold the remained or the week. It is 25 degrees now but by Saturday, it will be 12. The forecast keeps getting warmer. This morning had a low of 7 for Saturday but tonight it was up to 12. We shall see.
News from the Vorlon Wife.
We continue to get more snow - and, the weather repoters tell us, the temps are going down to about 2 degrees, with a chill index of 20 below zero. We are havng a very tough winter. And, while we stay warm, there are so many that aren't staying warm enough and that makes me very sad and concerned for them.
You're taking a very good walk at the school. My husband walks every morning at our local mall. He has faithfully done that for about 20 years or so. He stays very fit too. He absolutely loves desserts, so the walking is a necessity for him. When he tries to go faster, he begins to have an aching hip. I mention this because maybe you shouldn't try to increase your speed, just increase the number of laps you do. In the long run, this is the best way.
I used to walk everyday also. And, I really loved walking. But, now, I just don't seem to be able to do that anymore. I have started lifting some small weights each day, both for my arms and my legs. Anything is better than nothing, but we all have to be careful in our zest for fitness, that we don't injure some part of our body. We always seem to think if some is good - more is better. Not really true most times.
Keep up your good work. You always accomplish something everyday. And, that is good. Ruth
