I dropped my DVD’s off at the Library and went to the Post Office. I looked in the door and the line was a mile long. I turned around, walked back to the car and drove to the Post Office in the next town. There was no line and I was waited on with a friendly smile right away.

I came out the door to walk Danny Boy and the pit bull across the street was loose. I don’t know why they don’t put her on a lease. She runs right out into the road when she sees Danny. I quickly picked him up and put him in the car until they got the dog into the house. I took Danny in the opposite direction and walked him around the block. We met Alex on the way back. I asked if I could put some of my paper in his recycle bin. He said yes, I put my newspapers in, and it filled it up. I still have a lot more. I have more to shred.

I went through some more files and added to the recycle pile and the shredding pile.

I found a recipe online for the A&P Spanish Bar. We liked it real well and haven’t seen it for years. It did appear at the Acme for a short time but has disappeared again. I’ll have to give it a try.

It’s made with apples, raisins, walnuts, and spices with a cream cheese/butter frosting.

Danny was zonked out on the bed but he heard me typing and in he came. He tries to rest his head on my arm and then I can’t type. He just wants to be with his Mommy.

News from the Vorlon Wife.

Hi Karol,

That precious little Danny knows that his life is VERY good. It is so sweet that when he hears you working on the computer, he decides that time should be spent with him instead. I'm so glad you have each other.

Isn't there an Animal Shelter or something similar that you could call about the pit bull that runs loos? On the front page of our newspaper this morning is a picture of a small pomeranian that had been attacked by two pit bulls. She lost a leg and is so severly wounded. She received a purple heart from her doggie doctor because she survived such an attack. And, I might add, her owner had the pom in her arms when this attack took place. The pit bulls grabbed the pom's hind quarters and wouldn't let go. Finally, the woman's daughter saw what was happening and began beating the pit bulls with something and they eventually did let go, but, not until the puppy was nearly killed. If I were you, I would think it wise if you reported the fact that the dog runs loose at times. And, certainly, those dogs can be very dangerous. Not always, of course, as Cesar Milan keeps reminding us. But, without proper training, I think they are instinctually dangerous to be roaming about outside.

Keep on shredding. Isn't it awful how much "stuff" we accumulate? Ruth

The pit bull that gets away is a puppy. I don't know why they don't have a collar on her or a leash. She darts out into the street and could get hit by a car. There are a lot of people who are really dumb about their dogs. One family down the road has two chawawa's. (I know thats not how it's spelled but right now it escapes me). Sandy runs across the road in front of cars. She is a nasty little thing. The other one is black and is afraid of Danny.
