It was another nice day with the high in the 60’s. I went to the post office and the library to get a movie. When I got home, I had some lunch and took Danny out. We only got out to the street when we heard gun shots. Danny made a bee line for the house. He got to the top step, turned around and decided he wanted to go for a walk after all. We hardly made it to the walk and there were move guns shots. We tried four times and gave up.
I got to work on the leaves. I blew the east side and the back. The leaves were wet and heavy. I had to get the rake out when the pile got too large. I blew them to the back of the property and down the embankment. At least I didn’t have to drag them out to the curb I still have the west side to do but I was beat. I walked Danny down to the circle and he barked at two of the neighbors. One of them was named Bob. He used to live in NJ and although he misses some of NJ he loves it here.
When we got back, I fed Danny and had my snack.
I moved some boxes out of the way so that when I move my furniture in, the boxes won’t be blocking the place where I’m going to put it.
I repaired on of the mini blinds. Its handle was broken. I had a finding ring and slipped it through the holes. It worked out fine. I also glued the book shelf that I brought down yesterday. I have a few more things to do here before I head back to Vineland.
They finally have some decent music on the radio. I don’t know what happened to the oldies music form the 60’s. I guess the oldies music is now from the 80’s and I can’t stand it. The decent music is Christmas music. It’s a little early but the sound is wonderful.
News from the Vorlon Wife.
Hi Karol,
I also can't listen to the music of the 80's and up to the present. It isn't even music to my ears. I can't understand the words (which may be a good thing), and it all just sounds like screaming. Yuk! The young folks seem to think its good. I think it just means that every generation selects a different type of music that appeals to them. I'm sure most young people today would think our "wonderful 50's and 60's music very boring and simple.
I'm still offering my daily prayer for your NJ home to sell soon. Won't it be wonderful when you feel really settled in your new home one of these days? With just having to care for one house, one yard, etc. Sounds pretty good doesn't it? It will happen one of these days Karol.
Enjoy your weekend. Ruth
