A church we passed on our trip to Michiganlast year. We left Ted's parents on a Sunday morning and many churches were in session.
Posted by tedkarol at August 7, 2011 11:56 AMHi Karol,
I've been away for quite some time because of a house full of guests. Now, they've all gone home. And, I'm sure others feel this same way too - we're delighted when they arrive and we love their visit, but, it feels nice to have things back to normal. Our guests were our son Jeff from San Diego, his wife and her son and then our 2 older grandchildren. Our son is a burst of energy everyday. Always ready to keep things moving along - he didn't get all that pep from me. Or, just maybe, he took all mine and added it to his. Whatever - David and I were both worn out. And, in Oct., they are having a new baby girl (named Sadie), so of course, we'll want to meet our 11th grandchild shortly after that too. Maybe we'll try and go there for a short visit after she is feeling more settled into a routine. Her son, from a previous marriage is a sweet child that we pretty much fell in love with. We talked to him about if he would like to call us his grandparents too. He was just delighted with that. And, so were we. With them having the baby, Sadie will be our birth granddaughter, but, we didn't want to exclude him as our grandchild. So, we were both really happy for this gift for all of us.
Anyway, in catching up on your blogs, you mentioned that a cousin may be coming to live with you. How wonderful that would be for both of you. I know you get lonely at times, which is very understandable. Having someone there to talk and laugh with and share the things of life sounds like a great thing. Hope everything works out concerning this.
We're still having very high humidity, however, our temps have come down a wee bit. Still very muggy though. And, we've had a couple of nice rains the last couple of days too. Hoping all is well with you and Danny. Ruth
