This lovely flower arrangement was given to me by Don's friend, Barbara who owns a Flower Shop in Pennsylvania. She made it of red and white carnations in the shape of Danny Boy. It is surrounded by greens, pine cones, Christmas balls and ribbons.

Work is progressing slowly on my new house due to the weather. Hopefully the deck will be finished when I go into town today. Then he can work on the inside.

I noticed many of the homes in Chesapeake City are three story. Is that so they can have more houses along the streets? They wouldn't work too well for the elderly unless there was an elevator in them. Doubtful! However, I love them and they look so lovely in their Christmas fashions. It looks like such a nice place to visit.
I think everyone gets very tired during the Christmas season. There is such a long build up to the actual day. People are frantically buying gifts and shopping for groceries and wrapping gifts and then actually serving the large meal. You really did a lot over the holidays - no wonder you get worn out my dear.
Don't get too wild on New Year's Eve. Just kidding of course. We don't usually do too much anymore. Happy New Year and may you receive many blessings in 2012. Love, Ruth
