This cherry tree in Elkton, MD was blooming early in March. I was surprised to see it. It was about three weeks ahead of time.
Posted by tedkarol at March 27, 2012 10:50 PMIt is so wonderful to be seeing trees and flowers in bloom so early. Sure hope the absolutely lovely cherry tree doesn't get damaged from frost. Our concerns are the same as yours. We're just praying the temp doesn't fall to a point that it would kill the early blooms. Our nightime temps haven't gone below freezing and we're so thankful for that. And, our temps are going up again slowly beginning this morning. (Enough that my husband and others are planning a golf outing tomorrow.) Ruth
