The purple hyacinth was taken on March 16th. It is finished now as are all the hyacinths and most of the daffodils. I do have some narcissus and a few jiant daffodils blooming on the east side of the driveway. The creeping phlox is blooming sparcely as it was damaged when the sidewalk was put in last fall. Some tulips are blooming but I don't seem to have as many as I thought I would.
It will be a busy day today and tomorrow. I have go to the supermarket and get the ham and asparagus and the things I didn't get yesterday. Luckily, they are on sale at Redner's, the nearest supermarket. I'm going to the Good Friday service at noon. Danny needs his bath today and a little more trimming. I will be going to the cemetery tomorrow and do some baking.
I need to get something to eat and get going.

Posted by tedkarol at April 6, 2012 8:02 AMHello Karol, How very lovely were the hyacinths as they reflected onto the gazing ball. There are quite a few flowers that don't normally bloom until sometime in April that are all done blooming this year. I am a bit concerned about our dogwood tree in the front yard, it is all ready to begin flowering, but, we're having some very chilly nights. This morning there was frost all over the ground. I love the way the dogwood looks when its all in blossom, so, I'm sure hoping it will make it through the cold night time temps.
Most of our family is away this Easter. Spring break was early this year, so the kids and teachers were finished until after Easter. So, two of our sons and their families headed out for a weeks vacation. One to AL and another to FL. And, they won't be back until late Sunday evening. We will be taking our one college-aged graddaughter to dinner tomorrow. Her spring break at college came earlier, so she wasn't able to go with her family to FL. I'm thankful she is able to come home from college to be with us. I'm hoping we can talk her into joining us for church, we'll see.
Wishing you a beautiful Resurrection Sunday Karol. This is a day of celebration for us. Thank You God for giving your only begotten son, Jesus, to die on the cross for our sins, and then the most wonderful day when He was risen. Thank You Jesus. It is very meaningful day.
Wishing you and your family a lovely day tomorrow. Love, Ruth
