I did some wash early this morning and hung it in my shower as the forecast called for rain. It didn't rain. It was hot and humid. I was getting ready to go to Bible Study when the phone rang and it was my friend, Barbara who was my neighbor when we lived in Trevose, PA. I had sent an email and left a phone message for Barbara inquiring about her rental house in Cape May. On the Internet, it said it was available for the week I wanted to go there. Barbara and her husband have been going through some difficult times and they are not able to get there rental unit ready for the summer. Barb's mother passed away and shortly after, her husband, David's mother passed away and now, their son, has passed away. He was about 40 years old. They and their daughter are just devastated. I felt so sorry for her. I was late for Bible Study as I wanted to talk with Barbara.

Bible Study was good as usual and there was a big turnout today. Last week, there was a small turnout. There was only one seat left when I got there. We discussed the Scripture Lesson for Sunday and then shared our joys and concerns. I told them about Barbara and we prayed for her and her family.

I didn't do much when I got home. I felt upset about what happened to Barb. One never knows what will happen from one day to the next.

Poor little Danny, I have to literally pry his mouth open and shove his pill down his throat. I don't know how he does it but he manages to spit it out. It took only three tries this morning and about 5 tonight. I give his some peanut butter as a reward.

Sorry to hear about your friend Barbra. Have a good idea of what she is going through.

Was wondering if it would be possible to get Danny's medicine in a liquid form. Then you could just squirt it down his throat. No muss no fuss.

We got the electric fence installed yesterday. Sketter doesn't want to get near it now that he got a bad shock yesterday. Can't say as I bleme him any. Hopefully he will stay in the yard now.

Karol, When we had our shepard, Bonnie and she would not take a pill. We would put it on the back of her tongue and hold her long nose/mouth shut. It would only take a few seconds before she felt the urge to swallow. Worked every time. Good Luck

When I went to pick up Danny, they had his medicine all ready packed up for me. I told them he doesn't take pills. I had told them the last time I was there. They said I could get a shot for another $42.00 or I could crush the pill up and mix it in a liquid. I decided to take the pills and crush them up. Well, I used too much liquid and had to keep squirting it in his mouth. He got tired of that. I tried wrapping it in chicken, and then peanut butter. He licked off the chicken and peanut butter and spit out the pill. I tried various things that my Bible Study Group suggested. He still managed to spit out the pill. He somehow gets the pill over to the side of his mouth. It sticks in his fur and I have to pull it out. I'll try holding his mouth shut next time. He also has a liquid medicine he is taking. It is about finished now.
Tonight, I got it down in one try. I kept looking for the pill in his fur but didn't find it. I give him peanut butter for a treat afterward.
