Feeling better this morning but not quite up to par. I went to the church, the bank and then to the Brantwood garage to get a windshield wiper and hoped I could get there before it rained. I made it and felt better as I have to go out tonight and it's supposed to rain tonight and tomorrow. You used to be able to buy the blade but they don't sell them anymore. You have to buy the whole arm and it costs much more. What a bummer. Plus the fact that I could easily change the blade but I couldn't get the arm off and have to pay the mechanic to do it. Another bummer!
I next went to the new Eastern Shore Animal League. The have a Vetranarian Service plus boarding and kennel services. Danny is terrifed when I take him to the Vet in Middletown and when I used their Kennel services, the lady said he didn't wag his tale the whole time he was there. He must have thought I took him to that horrible place and abandoned him. He was so happy to see me when I picked him up. I figured maybe if I took him to a new place, which is right here in CC, he wouldn't associate it with going to the vet. When I take him to Middletown, he knows where we a going the minuted I turn down the road that leads to the vet.
I guess I will be ironing this afternoon and then will go to Choral Society practice tonight.

Posted by tedkarol at October 2, 2012 11:30 AMWow! The whole arm? It must be some kind of law in MD. I just bought new blades for my car a few weeks ago at Meijers. The replacement blades just snap right on to the arms. Takes 10 minutes to install.
Posted by: Ned at October 2, 2012 6:50 PMWe had to replace our blades last month. Yup, had to buy the whole thing at a cost of over $42.00! What a shocker.
Posted by: at October 3, 2012 9:48 AMPerhaps I used the incorrect terminology. By wiper blades, I meant the rubber part of the blade that slips into the part that clips on. Ted always got the rubber part of the blades. By arm, I meant that part that clips on. I bought the large on at Walmart. It cost me $10.00. I took the rubber part out of it and slipped it into the one that was on. Ted had a couple short rubber things for the passinger side but one did not fit to slide in and the other slid in but fell apart. That's when I went to the garage. It cost me $12.00 So $22.00 altogether for the windshield wipers to be replaced.
