I went to my Bible Study this morning and afterward, took some canned dog food that Danny cannot eat to the Eastern Shore Animal League. This afternoon, dug out my family history as I had no idea where I had put it. I am going to genealogy seminar on Saturday so I wanted to get my information prepared. I have a few ancestors I would like to find information on.
I did some research on the English High Tea as I have been asked to speak on that topic at our Eccumentical Association Tea on Sat. Oct 13. It is a new idea by my friend, Tina for a fundraiser. The group includes all the churches in our community who have come together to help poor families in our community. We have a food bank, share a rotating homeless shelter, provide after school help for children, have a combined Bible School for the children and help in other ways.
I also studied my music for the Choral Society. We got out CD with the music on it. My main CD player is not working. The one in my bedroom won't play it as the CD is a higher tech than my player. I have in the past ripped it onto my computer but for some reason, this time every other song is garbled. I'll have to try again. I am able to play it on my little CD player in the yellow bedroom that I thought my cousin had broken. She used it and for some reason it stopped working. Good thing I didn't trash it as it seems to be playing all right now. It will also play in my car but I can't read the sheet musice as it plays. I can just listen and try to sing along. When I get to know it better, I will be able to sing along better. At least listening will get me familiar with the music.

Posted by tedkarol at October 3, 2012 10:33 PMHi, I'm glad you're feeling better my dear. I think Danny must be a very smart dog to know when you turn down the street for the vet's office, he begins to sulk. I'm sure it's very annoying to you, but, hearing the story made me smile. Our youngest son absolutely HATED going to the doc's office. One time our daughter went with me so she could hold his arms down while the doc was trying to check him over (by the way, I was holding his feet down). While Andrea was trying to hold his arms and hands down, he bit her hand. Oh my, did that ever shock both of us. We handed this chore over to Dad and he didn't stand for Scott's bad behavior, causing Scott to grow up real fast. I guess because he was the baby in the family, he thought he'd push the limits at times because it worked for him often. He was 8 years younger than our oldest kids and they truly did give into him often. However, Scott has grown up to be such a good man, husband, father and son. We had some worries about that for awhile, but, he is such a pure joy now.
We took a couple of days and went north for a color tour. I can't even begin to describe the beauty of the leaves. We picked the perfect time to see the splendor of fall.
Sounds like you're staying very busy with many outside activities. You take good care of yourself and your little four-legged friend. Ruth
