The cone is to keep the dogs from biting at the stitches. I bought one for Danny but didn't have to use it so was able to return it. The vet put the cone on Sparky and said it had to stay until the stitches came out. Since I have to take him to that vet, I thought I'd better keep it on. I could take it off for him to eat but I'd never get it back on him. He hardly sits still for me to put on his coat. He is calming down a little today.

I am keeping both you and Sparky in my prayers as you continue to deal with all of this. Before long, you two will establsh a routine where your calming voice will help him to know you love him and he can feel safe. A new pet always takes a little time to figure it all out. I will be thinking of you and Sparky during this "get acquainted" period. Ruth
