I went to Bible Study this morning and stopped in the Town Hall and hairdresser to take some posters for the Choral Society concert. I made an appointment to have my hair done next Wednesday.
When I got home, I walked Sparky and had some lunch. I rested in the afternoon.
I went to the Lenten Soup and Bread dinner and Lenten Service at St. Rose’s RC Church. They are part of St. Joesph’s in Middletown, DE. It is a quaint little church. I took a photo of the sanctuary that I will post on Sunday. It was an interesting service with lots of singing. The priest from St. Joseph’s was the host and the priest from the Ukrainian Orthodox Church gave the Homily. Near the end of the service, the sang five verses of a hymn to the tune of Amazing Grace. I was sitting with three other members of my churches choir and we really sang out in praise to God.
News from the Vorlon Wife.
Hi Karol, It sounds like you might be having a little warmer weather than we are because I haven't heard anyone talking about seeing a blooming crocus yet. Our temps aren't too bad this week, and this was a really good thing. It began raining Tues. eve and then when we got up in the morning, it had snowed a lot during the night. You talk about slushy and dangerous sidewalks and roads - it was awful. But, as I said, at least the warmer temps kept all that slush from turning to ice. Our temps have been in the upper 20's for a few days now, but, it looks like they will be falling soon.
I imagine you're still learning Sparky's personality. I certainly hope the growls are just what he does to warn people not to do anything he's not prepared for. Like you said, I hope that is what he does it for. I think you would have noticed whether he might be a bitey dog while he was playing with the kids at your home. He does sound so much different than Danny and part of that is that he's a younger dog with lots of ambition and feistiness. I'm sure he had great fun with a couple rolls of toilet tissue. What a surprise that was. Take care and sure hope your blooming flowers don't get nipped by frost. Ruth
