I planted some phlox this morning and put some Miracid around my azaleas, evergreen bushes and hydrangea that are supposed to be blue but are mauve. I didn't get to all of them so will use the Holly Tone that I bought at Walmart on Friday.
I am waiting for the sun to burn off the heavy dew so I can get the rest of the grass cut before it gets too hot. I should have done it last evening but I was too tired. I also have to do some financial work at the church this morning.
News from the Vorlon Wife.
Posted by tedkarol at July 15, 2013 7:58 AMHi Karol, Cancer is such an evil disease!! We are also dealing with the loss of a very dear friend. She died this last Sunday. Her cancer was first diagnosed in her colon, then it just spread to her lungs, stomach and probably other organs too. Oh, how we will miss this lovely woman who was such an encourager for others and her faith was mighty throughout all of this. She was very well prepared to enter Heaven and to think of her without pain any longer is our solace in saying goodbye to her.
It seems like as we age, we have to deal with the deaths of so many in our family as well as dear frieds. I remember my mother talking about this when she was in her 80's and I probably didn't realize the deep level of pain she was enduring in having to say goodbye to her siblings and many dear friends. I am beginning to understand exactly how she was feeling now that this same thing is happening to us. It causes us such sadness. Even when we realize that death is inevitable, hearing it spoken seems to always shock us deeply. i feel very sad for you because losing your Ted sill always be so painful. Each friend or family member that you lose probably opens your gaping wound again and again. And, that truly breaks my heart. Sometimes we just get weary of trying to be strong.
I send prayers and comfort to you Karol. Love, Ruth
