The New Years' Day race in Chesapeake City. I helped with the race by directing the runners at the intersection. I wasn't even sure this photo would turn out. I took it with my phone and there was so much glare that I couldn't see what I was doing.
It was a good day for the race about 40 degrees at noon and sunny. I bundled up good as I went around 10am to get ready. I wore long johns, hunting socks, LL Bean boots, and my long red coat. I was pretty comfortable. When inside the Town Hall, I had to go back out as I was too warm inside.
The runner's all seemed to have a good time and so did the race co-ordinators, helpers and fans along the route. Businesses were open but not too happy about having to be open on New Years' Day.
When I got home, I took Sparky out. Three neighbor boys were playing football and Sparky wanted to play with them. One boy was laying on the ground and Sparky went up licking his face. They said I should dye him purple to be the Baltimore Ravens mascot. I said I would dye him green to be the Philadelphia Eagles mascot. One of the twins was wearing Ravens outfit and the other was wearing an Eagles outfit. The boys are 11 years old.
