I went to Don's yesterday afternoon and stayed overnight. I was going to take something to the Cemetery but it was outside my house. I shook the rain off it and thought I'd would put it in a trash bag so the car wouldn't get all wet. I was on the road 20 minutes when I realized I had forgotten it. When I got to Don's, I called my aunt but got her voicemail. I thought she must be out with one of her children and I'll call back later. I felt tired out so I didn't go out.
I called her this morning and she was there. I put Sparky in his cage and went to visit my aunt. We were having a nice visit when my cousin came. We both had lunch with my aunt in the cafe at her assisted living place. We had a lovely time enjoying each other's company.
Don called me while I was there. He had come home for lunch and saw Sparky in his cage. He called my cell asking, "Where are you?" He figured I was with my aunt. He let Sparky out of his cage and put him back when he went back to work.
I went back to Don's, took Sparky for a walk, packed up the car and drove back home. I walked Sparky after I unpacked the car and brought everything in. While unpacking my things, I discovered I had forgotten my books and the paperwork that I was going to drop off at the Honda Dealer on my way home. I had put them aside when packing so they wouldn't get wrinkled or messed up while packing my clothes in. I'll have to go back tomorrow to get the paperwork. Bummer! It's nerve wracking to drive on the interstate.
