I got ready for exercise class and went to the church. None of the ladies were there so I did some work in the office. Tucker came in and said there was a Trustees meeting and wondered why my name was on his list for the meeting. I told him as Treasurer, I am a member of the committee.
He told me there is a meeting tomorrow night. I had to do more work to get my report ready for the meeting. The finance committee doesn't meet until next week so I thought I'd have more time to prepare my reports. Not!
The ladies came in at 10:00 and reminded me that we had changed the time because it was so cold at 9am. Anyway, I had too much work to do in the office so couldn't work out with them.
I didn't do much when I got home except for taking Sparky out and getting things ready for the Choral Society practice.
I dreaded going because an ice storm was coming to the area at 9pm and that's when we got out of practice. We looked outside at 8 to see if anything was happening and it wasn't. Luckily, the storm didn't come until about 11 so I got home safely.
I heard some horror stories about cars sliding down the Chesapeake City Bridge sideways when it is icy. Also, I live on a road that has many snake curves and no shoulder. Many a car has ended up in the ditch on each side of the road. One farmer is always having to replace his fence and the electric company has to replace its poles.

Posted by tedkarol at February 5, 2014 7:39 AMOne morning, I went to get into my car and discovered that all of the doors were locked. That is not unusual since I have a remote on my key chain and often accidentally lock my doors . Then I noticed that my moon roof was open. Odd. Then I noticed that all of my windows were down. Since the moon roof and windows require the ignition to be on and since it was winter, I was at a loss.
