Hot and humid. Had a thunderstorm last night and got an inch of rain. My flowers and bushes needed it. The rain buckets are full again but I need to get a regular rain barrel with a spigot to connect a hose. My buckets are only hold enough for one watering and that doesn't get all the plants. My handyman, Juan, said he would put a sump pump in the stream out back and I can water all the flowers I want. I have a pump so I'll have to have him do that.
It was warm and the air was heavy for our walk this morning. I take Sparky out before and after. He pokes around sniffing everything after it rains. I guess everything smells different after the rain.
I can't keep ahead of the weeds and the mint. I keep pulling it out by the roots and it has grown about six inches. I'll plant it out by the shed. I had planted it before I had my sidewalk put in on the west side. After the sidewalk was put in, I planted flowers and the mint keeps trying to take over.
