Mother's Day, 1952
Moma, Grandmom, and Uncle Bud. I love the hats and corsages. I looked around in church and no one had corsages. It used to be a custom to buy mother's a corsage. Moma would send me on the bus to Darby to get the corsages at the florist in the bus terminal. The church would give out carnations; a white one if your mother was deceased and a pink one if your mother was living. My church here gives our carnations but all one color. Past years, they have been white with red centers. This year they were all pink. I guess traditions have been forgotten but the memories haven't. I remember taking this photo with my Kodak Brownie Camera that I had gotten for Christmas.
