The Presbyterian Church is having a cookie sale today starting at 9am. I want to get there early to get the best choice. I don't do much baking since I'm alone. I also don't need the calories. I want to give them as gifts to some of my neighbors. Robin, next door, who dog sits for me; Alice, my friend who lives down the street, and just had back surgery; and Juan, who lives next to Alice, my landscaper and handy man. Us widows and older ladies don't know what we would do without Juan. He and his wife, Deloris,are well known in Chesapeake City.
Tonight is the Candlelight House Tour in Chesapeake City. The houses are all decorated for Christmas. I will be helping to greet people at the Church. The choir used to sing other years but I think the Bell Choir is performing tonight.

We had our 1st concert last night at the Calvert Nursing Home near Rising Sun, MD. It was just for the patients there. Today, I will be caroling around Chesapeake City from 2 to 5. I think it's for the Chamber of Commerce. I got an email saying they needed carolers.

The Amarillo was a gift for Ted, either from my mother or his grandmother. They both gave him one at different times but I don't remember which is which now.
Concert tonight at the Calvert Nursing Home. I can't believe it's concert time already. It seems we just started to practice.

The Chesapeake City Festival of Lights is quite beautiful with the lights reflecting in the water. The serpent is named "Chessie."
Another rainy gloomy day. I went to Bible Study this morning and did some vacuuming and rearranging the furniture to get the room ready for the tree. I have some boxes sitting in the kitchen waiting for the rain to stop so I can put them in the shed and get out the rest of the decorations.

My grandnephew, Ethan telling Santa his wish list. We were at the park listening to the middle school children singing when I heard very loud jingle bells. I said to Ethan, "Listen, what do I hear?" He said, "Jingle bells." I said, "Someone is coming," just as we heard a hardy "Ho! Ho! Ho!. Ethan said, "Santa Claus." We were stand next to the road where Santa came riding in a wagon drawn by the Clydsdale horses. Ethan started shouting his wish list to Santa. Santa recognized me in my red coat from the pet parade and said, "Hello Mrs Claus."
All the while, the school children were singing, "Here Comes Santa Claus." Santa turned on the lights for the town's Winter Festival.
We got in line for Ethan to sit on Santa's lap and give his wish list to Santa again. How wonderful it was to see the joy in the eyes of the children.
