Today would have been our 46th Anniversary. It's been 10 years since he's been gone. I still miss him more than ever.
Got a new perm yesterday. Today, Sparky gets his grooming. I did some weeding yesterday. Still have a lot to do and I need to plant my Easter Flowers. Seems like it takes forever to get the flower beds in shape. I have to wait until June to put some of the mulch down as the portulacas and vincas don't sprout until then. My front garden by the fence is overgrown with purple cone flowers, daises and clementis. I have to transplant some of them or they will choke out the portulacas. I would like to put some across the road but there are ticks over there. I'll have to spray myself and wear protective clothing if I do that.

It seems winter has returned. We had a brief few days of summer and then back to the cold. It is 38 degrees this morning. Not quite winter but not balmy May either.
The darn cleaners lost my suit jacket. It is a black wool crape. I wear it to my concerts. I don't wear the jacket when I'm singing because it has big brass buttons across the front. But I wear it to the concert as some of the churches we sing in are cold. The lady keeps telling me she will tell the boss. He's been away. She wants me to bring the receipt for it but I don't have it. Ted and I went to a sales conference in Louisville, KY and one of the sponsors had a boutique and I won a shopping spree. I got the black suit, a pair of black slacks, a black silk blouse, a black broom skirt, and a navy blue linen sundress with jacket. It seems like a lot of black. My friend kept bringing the things for me to try on and I was limited to time. I don't know what to do about the jacket. It's a bummer.

I wore this dress to the Chesapeake City Ecumenical Association's Gala. It is the same dress I wore at my 25th Anniversary celebration. It's good to know that it still fits.
